SwissMsRecycle is a small, free, community-run board for the Swiss mass spectrometry community to offer or ask for spare lab equipment, consumables, and instrument parts. It isn't a company or a commercial service — it's run informally, on a best-effort basis.
Listings are posted directly by users and are not checked or verified by SwissMsRecycle. We make no guarantee that any listing is accurate, safe, complete, or still available. Any exchange, shipment, or use of items found here is entirely between the people involved — SwissMsRecycle takes no responsibility for the condition of items exchanged, for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from an exchange, or for downtime, bugs, or data loss on the site itself. Use it at your own judgment, the way you'd treat any classifieds board.
When you create an account, we store your email, full name, and company/university/group — this information is shown next to the listings you post so other members know who they're dealing with. Listings you post (title, description, category, brand, model, condition, location, contact email, and an optional photo) are visible to any other logged-in member. Photos are resized to a small square in your browser before upload.
Any logged-in member can see any other member's name, organization, and email address — this is a closed community board, not a public one, but it isn't anonymous either.
We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to see roughly how many people visit the site and which pages they use. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you individually across sites, and doesn't collect your name or email — just aggregate page-view counts.
You can permanently delete your account, your listings, and your profile information at any time from Settings → "Delete my account". If that ever doesn't work for some reason, email daniel.ortiz@epfl.ch and we'll remove it manually.
This page may change as the site grows. If anything meaningful changes about how data is handled, we'll update the date at the top.
